Broken reverse chain

An unfortunate mishap on this car it actually popped at a gear under load in reverse and snapped the chain I'm thinking maybe the shift cable needs to be adjusted ?

Couple chip teeth and a snap change sitting at the bottom of the case.. totally fixable

I can knock that right out, I would also recommend doing the trany mod while it's a part at the same time.
