Lance, I've been shooting all my life, but I learned more in a one-day class (firing 250 rounds of .45 in about 4 hours!) from a retired military instructor than I did in 50 years of plinking. We did static, moving, very close range, "from the hip", around obstacles, multiple targets......... It was worth every penny, and I've been wanting to do it again!

Great idea Barry.....want to wait so the 2 of us have the guns we're going to carry first.

Doesn't cover the west coast, or most of the north-east.

Go to this website http://www.usacarry.com/concealed_ca...city_maps.html and click on your state to see where your permit is honored.

Utah is a good one to get, covers 35 states. You don't have to be a resident, you just have to take a half-day class with a certified instructor, who then does the fingerprinting and photos and sends it in.
I'm a WA resident and I got my OR and UT permits in addition to WA. Covers me for most of the places I might want to travel to/through.

I must say, this fingerprinting episode went much better for me as opposed to my previous one. I was soooooo happy to walk out the courthouse front door rather than be escorted to that barred room...lol

    She carries a M&P shield 9mm.
I am actually thinking of getting one. Nice gun.
When I carry, I carry my PX4 storm (full size). Too big but love shooting it.
Lara has a LC9. Dont really like that one, but is small and easy to carry.

I use the XDS 45 or the SR 40c. My wife has the LC380. All are now off roster guns. CA sucks!!!

I see now that I can get the lc380 converted to a lc9mm. Ruger sells a kit for it now.
