Good writer up, thanks for sharing.
Do all of these cars just keep getting heavier? I don't quite understand the HP issue. My 2011, XP 900 had 88 HP and would make it up comp hill at Sand Mountain, would pretty much hang with most everybody (SxS, not the sand cars) down at Dumont Dunes, and ran 75 mph out in the desert. Of course, that is NOT to say I could hit the top of any of those dunes at 75 mph, but how can another 20 HP not be enough? My General has 100 HP (I think) and is no where near as fast as my XP 900 was. Is that all because it is almost 400 pounds heavier?

Yeah two totally different machines Barry , your XP was a sports machine with top of the line suspension (for its time) the General is more Utility with dump bed , different type of trans, and so on.
That’s probably why you General feels slower cause you feel more of the bumps and stuff makes you want to let off the gas.
The Honda should be ok as it is suppose to have good suspension, and will have to see how it puts its 100HP to the ground. To me it’s always good to have more choices out there, going to be interesting to see how it stacks up with the contenders.
Here’s one of the first to roll off the assembly line.
Pretty cool looking.
