So Pipelayer... How would you rate this ride??? 100 words or less...
would you say I can expect to see a 1 or a fall in love solid 10???
Is it short n' sweet or Long n' hard....?
Are the trails soft n' smooth or will it have a lot of humpin n' bumping to it?
Are the hills small and flat crested or tall steep and perky???
Will some of us non experienced guys make it through the canyon??
Overall do you think we will be satisfied???
I'm really lookin forward to "gettin Happy" on this ride....

I have been riding with most of you for the last few years and set up my rides based on what I think everyone will enjoy. I try not to go too fast and try to be mindful of less skilled riders. It’s hard to keep the experienced riders interested. Alan, you’ll notice that I changed direction on one part of the route because you thought that it may be too difficult for a large group. Also, I pre ride my routes 2 to 3 times before a group ride, so I have a little bit invested in it. So it’s pretty disappointing to get negative feedback. Scott is right, I always add something a little bit technical because it always gives us some good campfire stories. The first half, I would give a 6 because of the delays and the second half, a 9 or ten. I have done this one with a small group of experienced riders and it was a solid 10.

There are some large areas that are up past the staging area that are good camping areas for large groups

I always think it’s a 10. It’s gonna be a little bit different than last year and no more difficult than last year. There will be some challenging areas so consider yourself warned... lol. Really cool trail IMO.
