Hey guys I was thinking of going on this ride since VC is one of my favorite places and since I have barely have had a chance to go riding since I bought my rzr. I have a few questions. 1 is this a round trip ride back to Johnson Ln. Or are we finishing up in VC?2nd does anyone have a map showing the route? last time I was up in VC I was thinking it would be cool to go riding around the gold hill area. I also just heard that they cleaned up the American flats. So put me down for this ride.

Poofighter, the knocked down & buried American flats mill about a year or so ago. We rode up on them as they were in the process. I have some great pics of it, with all of the Graffiti all over it.
Johnson Lane ride will begin and return to Johnson Lane. It's too much logistics for everyone to have to trailer back from another location. Crossing Hwy 50 is not a big deal with a few rigs, but if we have 20 or thirty, we will attract the wrong kind of attention. It will also be unsafe. If enough people want to do VC on the second day, I'm totally up for that.

Great, so I have a basic route that is about 90 miles that the ones that don't want to continue, can go back to the trailer and the die hards, I have another 30 miles that we can do to top it off. Last weekend, me, Manny and Bill, each used 6 gallons to do the 90 miles. I don't know what mark used an David ran out of gas, two miles from the truck. It's only because he has a 900 4 w/ 1000 motor and a 7 gallon tank. I have another 50 or 60 miles that we can do in VC for the following day.

Do most plan on taking their toy haulers and camping at Johnson lane? Or getting hotel room and bringing smaller trailer?

Mike, there is huge flat area that is about 1/4 mile in and the road is fairly smooth. I'm still up in the air about taking the TH. Depends on what everyone else is doing. Usually, we just ge a hotel room, especially if we're doing two locations. It's not much of a move. About 30 to 40 min.

I really prefer my trailer over a hotel room, but then VC on the second day is a problem. I also have granddaughter #3 scheduled to be born April 6, so that has to all go according to plan. This is always one of my favorite rides!

I hope it all falls into place Barry, Family always comes first. Some may choose to stay and ride Johnson ln. Just throwing it out there.

No big deal for me, I can go with the hotel , if that's what most are doing, would be easier with having two staging areas.
