    *FYI* XPT belt change info

after putting over 400 miles in dunes at st. Anthony, I decided to check on belt and blow out clutches with air to remove dust. I noticed on secondary does not have the notch for clutch tool. so went to owners manual and this is how the secondary frees up

I looked in my tool kit and there was not a threaded tool to use on secondary. so I made one out of 1/4-20nc bolt. you need at least 1 1/2 " of thread to push sheaves apart.

I like this way better then old clutch tool as it holds sheaves apart until belt is changed.
BUT. remember to remove and spin secondary till belt is snug.

so make sure you have the Polaris tool or a bolt in your spare belt bag. so your not stuck out on trail without proper tool
