    I have been thinking about going the way that fast phil has gone. I may have it at the Cinco de Mayo ride.

    just wondering if you get a tablet

    do you have to pay to hook it up to your wi-fi

    or pay a mouthy service if you are just going to us it as gps only?

    Lance - let us know when you get that set-up. I'd like to see it. We're still using a Garmin handheld on a dashmount - but the screen is far to dim during the day.

    My tablet with Locus Pro is tied to my cell phone account. It uses my data plan on the account. So yes, it is tied to it. But with the Locus Pro program, it works great
    Arctic Cat Dealer and Fabricator since 2006. Currently running a 5 car race team that includes a NASCAR Sprint Cup Driver. We race Dirt Riot, RMURA, and select BITD races. If it's Wildcat related, we know how to make it faster...

    The problem I have had is that I go places where there is no cell phone service .

    I use Backcountry Navigator on a 7" Google Nexus 7 Android Tablet & Use BobT's Maps for Hatfield McCoy/ Wv Trails

    Just got 8" Droid Tab

    Going to install backcountry in it and try it out at the Volcano

    found out no need to pay and get cell coverage for the gps to work

    just connect it to your wi-fi and load the stuff you want and you are good to go
