    Bodie CA..

When is the best time to go and hang around the Bodie CA area? I know this question was asked some time back.
I was Thinking maybe go there before Sand Mountain at Halloween..

I have always thought the best time to go any-where in Caliphony would be Fall-Time

It's a little cold there by October, it sits about 9000 ft elevation, not sure when the snow starts up there but a good winter the park's snowed in till April. I'm going through there in September I'll let you know what the weather's like

I'm definitely interested in a Bodie run at some point.

Bodie Ghost town is awesome. I have never rode around it but have been told it's a fun place to ride.

They only close during snow season, if there's no snow the park stays open. They didn't get any snow last winter so they were open all year. There's some great riding around there, we rode there last year and had a lot of fun.

If you want to do a ride there Ed, I know a few trails and staging areas and a couple places to camp
