So we are planning heading to Parker on Thursday 3-7-19 , thinking of staying overnight at Newberry Mountain RV park on I-40 not to far from Barstow. Any feed back on this place? Looks like and ok place to spend the night.

Mike I'm not sure about that RV place..

Lance and I found a nice quiet parking lot in North Barstow..
It's Idle Spurs Steakhouse and they allow you to overnight in the parking lot next door

Inside the bar hasn't been updated since the 70's, however we have had good food everytime we have ate there

I know it's too far out for us to count on the accuracy, but weather channel forecast for our first 4 days in Quartzsite calls for high temps of 68-70. That's going to be hard to beat!

The weather forecast has been pretty accurate..
Around the 24th weather is looking great
