    11-11-17 Dark Canyon ride (Sierra’s)
Lainracing and I are going to ride Dark Canyon, and try to get up to the top of Babbit peak, going to be cold, and I’m sure snow on the peaks, going to start at Jackson Meadows turn off on Hwy 89, About 20 miles north of Truckee, staging is pavement with restrooms.

Looks like a fairly straight forward ride.. Is it difficult? I'm still pretty new to all this..

It’s not to bad, we all stick together, haven’t lost anybody yet Lol, if there’s to much snow on the upper peaks, there is plenty of lower Jeep trails to explore out. Hope to see you out there.

Thanks.. I have had my Honda Pioneer 1000-5 since March. We have been to Sand Mountain twice, Oregon dunes for a week, Cisco Grove, and around Prosser/Boca. We are loving this. Just dont want to venture out onto the trails by myself and end up on the evening news.. I had bikes and quads as a teen, but that was many moons ago. See ya Saturday guys.

hopefully it won't rain. The key up there when its near freezing is to just stay dry...I found layer with non cotton breathable items and a gore tex shell or similar. you can weather out the unexpected up there and stay comfortable.
