yea ... we almost rode there last year but stopped short and had lunch at the little lake instead...

maybe we can come up with something thats not too far away and in the same time zone to sm......theres always Verdi... Bull creek, Boca res, several places to stay...Gold ranch casino rv park is great place,Boom town rv or dry camp at lake... outside of Lovelock Nv theres a reservoir with a nice camp ground and lots of great trails...

Those sound like great ideas, Alan. Boca would be great on weekdays, may be crowded on weekends.

we never made it to this that day we were riding outside Austin but we were only a mile or two from it. so I can't tell you what it looks like for getting trailers in there! looks doable from Google earth.. but this is a hike by car but considered it as a days ride proximity to the Ghost town Belmont.

lol well the Austin baptist church rv park may look a little primitive but the trail head is right out the back door... it has full hook ups and near town.

Belmont is a cool little town.. The court house has quite a history. The saloon is still in operation. drove there once and tent camped off my maverick at the campground there.
