    I looked for my video last night and couldn't find it yet. It may have ggotten lost in my old phone to new phone transition.

    As I understand it, using a winch to tie down an ORV is not a great idea. Bumps in the road put repeated dynamic loads on the winch cable, gears, etc. Tie down straps are relatively cheap and easy to replace when they start getting worn out. Winches aren't. Also, if the winch got damaged by the shock load during transit, and spools up fine with no load when you get there, you might not find out it is damaged until you really need it.

    Don't mean to be all doom and gloom, I just think it's better to avoid the potential issue, when tie down straps are sufficient.

    I tow mine on an open trailer for day tripping, and also have a short toy hauler for the long weekends

    That's similar to our MO.....but our TH is a converted 24' green tin box.
