Well Soggy dry lake is off Bessermen mine Rd, Anderson dry lake is off Camp Rock Rd, or you could stay closer to Slash X, gets windy at Anderson, Soggy has more bigger hills around the lake, or you can go just pass the lake up in the rocks, kind of like Wagon Wheel.
Can ride up to Big Bear area, and on to deep creek, can ride to Slash X of corse , there's some small dunes on the way to KOH , lots to explore.

PS I'll look at the race schedule to make sure there's not a race going on that weekend.

Just watched an episode of destination Polaris and they did a ride out of Trona pinnacles California off the highway 395 about seven hours from Redding looks like a really cool place to go and do a desert ride near Randsburg ca.

We were camped not to far from them, really cool to see in person. Lot of cool stuff out there , looking forward to exploring out some cool stuff in Johnson Valley next year.
