Sand Tires , Do It Again Question

For the ones that have them and been out with them . Knowing what you know now would you still buy some?

On the fence on buying some, went to Sand Mountain Nv a couple weeks back and for the most part with the stock tires aired down to about 8lbs went everywhere I wanted to go, NO I was NOT the first up the hill, NO I didn't make it to the top around towards the back before bogging down and turning around back down. But had a blast . Now 90% of everything out there had sand tires on them, Didn't cross my mind at the time being there to ask people there their thoughts..

I have a stock 2016 XP1K looking at some 30x15x15 Sand Stripper XL 7/8 inch tall 10 paddle rears and 30x13x15 Sand Stripper XL 3 rib fronts on Casino beadlock wheels.
Can get a decent deal on them , just trying to get others take on are they worth it or not ???

So would you buy them knowing what you know now running them ??

I am definitely no expert on sand tires but I'm pretty sure that a 10 paddle 30" tire is way too much for a stock 1000. Most guys with stock machines are running 8 paddle I believe. I run my bighorns at 6 psi at sand mountain. You would be surprised how much better they perform at 6 psi compared to 8 psi. I'm sure there will be some other guys on there that can give you more info than I have.

Lol.... Ok I'll put in my opinion. Quick background on my sand experience. Everything from a CRF450, Rhino, Twin Turbo Long travel sand car to a Stock RZR 1000. Sand is all about momentum & wheel spin. The lighter the paddles the better & "Most" of the time less paddle is better. Especially on low HP heavy UTV's. If u want to hook up & go straight fast u want a narrow wheel with taller paddles. If u want a duning machine that will handle well and not have a lot of push in the turns u want a FLAT Paddle with a Wide wheel. The best Duning & still have good traction Paddle for around 100-120hp UTV is the Sand Tires Unlimited 28 Sand Blaster #1 Comp Cut on 11" wheel. Front tire would be a smooth buff 30" tire on 7" wheel.
If it's a Turbo w/ 140+ HP run #2 & Comp cut as well. Hope that helps!

Ok got a few more replies lol
The set I listed in my OP I can get a decent deal on them used. But have had a few say put the money elsewhere , seats , lights, etc.
I wish they had one of those test before you buy setups ....

I know when you go into places or on the phone usually most will sell what they have more of or more profit on ... Said "most" not every one... lol
I have emailed back and fourth a few times with GMZ racing products and they were saying the set up I listed in my OP was the best set-up for the XP1K .. Once again is that because they know their business "or" they are just pushing for profit?

I know one thing they are heavy,, both tire and rim rears would come in about 49 lbs each and the fronts about 43 lbs each...
