ben, is the charge tube the source of the lost boost, and not the waste gate?

It definitely leaks but I can't say 100% if it's the main source

After thinking about it a little more, while driving the car last week and hooking up a manual boost gauge it stayed pretty consistent for the most part until that one time it literally drop from 16/17 pounds to 7, I think we have a few things contributing to the Boost falling off

Here's something interesting I found, the back of the turbo motor will accept a 14 and 15 transmission plate to bolt a 14 and 15 Transmission in its place not that anybody's going to do it but yes if somebody were it can be done

Also looks like they still don't use enough case sealer on the bottom of the Transmissions as well..

So here's the difference between a 15 and 16 transmission, the 16 is on the left

And is rubbing up against the valve cover.

In my opinion it's a bad design.

If I designed it it would have had a silicone hose along with a aluminum charge tube in the center with another silicone hose and clamps on the other end with a fitting welded on to the charge to for the map sensor

    But that's just me...

I am with you on that, I will never run soft hose long like that. Should be aluminum pipe with just couplers on the end. IMO
Plus I will run hose from engine vent to breather/oil catcher bottle.

The charge tube is pretty long Milos... it seems under boost that the center section of it would swell up under boost I don't know I'm not an engineer just an observation
