I wouldn't rely on your card if you rode an ATV in Oregon as they want everyone to pass the Oregon test (very simple). As far as our research has led us, Class IV UTV still does not need a card for 2016, just like Class 2 buggies/Jeeps etc don't either.

As it stands now, STRD may very well limit the number of $20.00 tickets sold for this entire 2016 Geocache event to give ticket purchasers a better chance of winning (but adversly, lessens the monetary revenue to STRD restoration fund). That said.....

...for every person who purchases a ticket and completes the 7 caches in each of the 3 dune areas, gets a free ticket for each area....so if you buy one $20.00 ticket and ride all 3 dunes (21 total), you will get 3 more tickets free. You can buy as many ticket as you wish.

This in essence means anyone could purchase one 20.00 ticket, not ride the dunes at all, and still win the $18K prize.....thus the reasoning of first come, first serve on limited ticket sales.

The unique thing about this event is it is for about 14 weeks with the Forest Service's blessings....no event has ever been permitted locally by the FS longer than a few days (I think Dunefest is longest). It took STRD less than 2 weeks from applying for and then receiving permit in hand.....they have made a huge impression on the FS in the ODNRA!!

Were looking forward to it !! We will purchase some tickets but also want to go find the Caches !! So the way I read this we can go anytime between those dates and get the caches ??
