I'm hoping so because I want to go !!
Do they make you chain up over 44? I've driven over to Reno a couple times in the snow, and never chained up, same with going up to Mt Shasta, seems like they would just close I5 when they get enough wrecks Lol, the I80 they make you chain for every storm, and sometimes it's not to bad at all.

Mike, on hwy 50, I have had to put on chains when there was no snow on the road. Pisses me off because it just tears up the road and my tires for no reason. Once you get to Nevada, the just have flashing lights on a sign an it up to you to put them on or not.

I have seen the chains required sign up over 44 and 89, but they don't stop you to check like 80 or 50
