Same bearings..
A buddy of mine in SoCal has a turbo Xp with 600 miles on it and he was at Glamis and it blew the bearing on the side of case, it's under warranty but he was still pissed off..
...
That's great and all but doesn't help much when you're bearing is hanging out of the transmission in your in Glamis ..

Team industries builds the transmissions for Polaris, I guess it's a way of selling more parts ....for them it doesn't make sense to upgrade the bearings, why should they more money in their pockets...

It's just the photo regarding the holes..
The surface is strange on these cases,, some have a smooth like mirror finish and others like this one have that strange grooving machined look in them.....
I hope you guys know this is just a joke these are no more than a paper weight lol

Never have seen a spec of sand inside the cases, but I have seen a ton of broken ball bearings inside lol,

They are the only ones as far as I know making that mod..
From what I've seen people that get stuck in the mud and slam the gears back and forth trying to get out are breaking them.
Now for the tedious cleanup of the factory case sealer, I make sure it's all removed down to bare aluminum before sealing it back up with Yamaha bond,...
