Can't wait to see you guys. We miss you!!!
Wagon wheel is only an 8 hour drive not to bad
Looks like a strait shot down i5
381 miles from my place in Concord>>>>https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Conc...4!2d35.5721131
Could you please provide a little more detail regarding these rides for us newbies?
1) Physical location (where on the map, I can Google map it.)
2) Type of Ride (terrain, so I know what tires I need)
3) Distance of rides (how many miles, and hour per day in our SXS)
4) Recommend supplies (what to take with while in our SXS)
5) Type of camping at each location (dry? hookups? water availably? dump stations? fuel?)
6) Camping restrictions (can they accommodate a large motorhome with a large trailer? 70ft. combined)
We would love to participate in one or all of these rides, but are kind of new at this. Our first ever trip with our SXS's away form the Oregon Dunes was Rally in the Pines and St. Anthony this July, so we got a basic idea.
Here is a link to the first place http://www.recreation.gov/recreation...recAreaId=1236
The second place is just out side of Parker Arizona , not sure of the campground yet .

I personally haven't been to the first 2 places but have been to Dove Springs area many times . For the most part the Dove Springs area is mainly dirt roads . We do go up some trails depending on where we go but nothing real bad. Every day will probably be different in how long the rides are . As for what to bring on the rides , we bring something to drink , lunch and snack depending on how long to ride is going to be . All the camp spots will be dry camp and no restrictions on size of vehicle. I have a 43' toyhauler and a Ford F350 crew cab and don't plan on having any problems
Awesome. Thanks for the information! This will help us do some research to see if it is something we can and/or would like to do.
We said at Wagon Wheel for a few days when everyone left us from Dove Springs..mostly trails, we can try and find the pinnacles...not to far from Ridgecrest also...

Talked to the group from So Cal.. that we spent the last 10 days with...about Johnson Valley..
They had hope to come up and join us but Tierra Del Sol is the same week so they won't be able to come up..but they said to camp off of Boone Lane.. great access
This is the area that was suggested that we camp at when at Johnson valley..close to where they have King of the Hammers
Boone Road off of HWY 247/Old Woman Wagon rd.
This is off of Rider Planet
http://www.riderplanet-usa.com/atv/t.../ride_f7b5.htm
This is what I found on Google maps the mark is Boone Rd.

Looks like a good place to camp, all the times I been out to Johnson Valley I camped at either Soggy dry lake off Bessemer mind Rd /247 , or Anderson dry lake, off Camp rock road, I like Soggy better, it's close to where your going to camp, there is some small sand dunes out there, but you have to search them out[emoji106]🏽,
It's kind of a long ride from where you'll be camped, but try and make it to Slash X bar/grill.

Soggy dry lake , and Anderson dry lake are some popular places to camp , Soggy's much bigger dry lake, Anderson off Camp Rock Rd is more of just flat area.
From Soggy if you go East you'll get to King of Hammers, in between you'll find the sand dunes, small but fun.
SlashX is off of hwy247 north and little west of Soggy, starts getting more mountains on that side, all the riding is fun out there, if you go on the other side of 247 you'll be in Stoddard Valley, it cool over there too, if you explore around you'll fine some small dry lakes that have the moving rocks, anywhere you camp will be fine.
