If they do use their 1050 based 3 cylinder, they will need to shrink it down under the 1000cc. If I were the CEO, I would direct the engineers to leave existing stroke alone and reduce the bore accordingly, then add a discount coupon in the new owner's packet for a kit to "BB it up" to a 1050....lol
I'm looking to step up from my 570 but waiting to see what Yamaha comes up with .

One of the rumors is that it is The 1050cc motor that is in their sleds and sleeved down to 999cc. That would be cool because it wouldn't take much to bring the size back up with a cylinder kit since they wouldn't be changing the stroke.
They just need to put in 1000 cc Apex and be over it. LOL
Aftermarket turbo kits are already available....Will be fun to have a car with more RPM than my vacuum cleaner. LOL
