Thanx for all of your pictures, knowledge and insight here Ben. I personally will never have a direct need for this info however probably 80% of the members do. It is a great learning curve for all of us.....☺

Updated primary clutch bolt
Updated billet motor mounts with delron bushings..
This eliminates all flex throughout the drivetrain and transmission.

Controlled force, is this a problem that you're seeing in cars that are primarily run in the sand or is it across the board. I've called all of the local dealers in my area and none of them have been having bearing issues on the trans. At least that's what they're claiming. I've noticed on a couple of you're pics that there appeared to be a bunch of sand behind the secondary clutch on the tear down. I appreciate any info. Thx

It's a problem that exists across the board,,I've done a stock 900 4 seater that blew the bearing out the side of the case with only 229 miles on it and it was driven only on his farm.
All 900 and 1ks are prone to this problem.. with trannys approaching $2,600, it's not worth the risk IMO
Looking good Bro, thanks for taking care of my junk I will run up one day next week to at least pick up the 1K and get it out of your way
Your junk..😂😂😂
Yeeeea ok,those are some badass cars right there,I'll do what I can to have the 900 done so you don't have to make two trips👍
Don't worry we will have to pick up the other two cars so I was going to bring one back on Motos trailer and then another trip when the others are done
Pretty convenient spot to drop of there car leaving the mountain. Lol Rzr's everywhere!

Ben, throw a set of trick motor mounts on if you have some, can bring the turbo up when pick up 1k to do tranny bearings, waiting on stage 3 pipe and ecu flash and new charge tube for turbo. you find me a set of rear paddles yet? lol [emoji389][emoji389][emoji389][emoji389][emoji389]
Ben, did you find the check in glove box?
Pat, that's a nice looking car.

Haven't found you a set of paddles, but I have a phone number where you can order them from lol
Hey Ben this is Jeff, you did the clutch kit on my Black 2014 XP1k over Halloween.
Looks like half of my pals dropped their cars off on the way home, LOL.
I want to confirm my "place in line" to do the preventative bearing fix before Easter. Easter is the 27th of March next year. When we get a window in the weather 3-4 weeks before that I will bring it up to you and then pick it up on the way out to the Mountain for the holiday. We will probably go out there around the 18th and stay til after Easter. Please pm me your contact info, the card you gave me disappeared.
I will want to replace any Chinese bearings in there...and maybe the motor mounts. Going to have to save some $$$ for the shock work.
I'll respond to your pm with my contact info...
thanks
Jeff
I'll get you penciled in..
Just don't cut its to close,I leave a week before Easter to get a good spot
I won't. Will try to borrow a box trailer and I will bring it up in late Feb. We go early for the same reason.
Will call you first part of Feb.
Lots of rust..but I'll take care of that

This is one of the best sealed tranys I've seen from the factoryhttp://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/11...f1a9d20a9c.jpg
You gotta be seeing these things in your sleep....
Now for the tedious cleanup of the factory case sealer, I make sure it's all removed down to bare aluminum before sealing it back up with Yamaha bond, http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/11...1220a4ac2d.jpghttp://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/11...76f2d0682d.jpghttp://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/11...5061cd58d2.jpg
Has anyone come up with a reasonable upgrade for the reverse chain? Last time I looked Turner Cycle had one for $1800 or some such nonsense. Was just wondering, since we are gonna be in there....
They are the only ones as far as I know making that mod..
From what I've seen people that get stuck in the mud and slam the gears back and forth trying to get out are breaking them.
ben with all the sand have you found any inside?
Never seen any of those aftermarket setups..
I would like to see what they look like up close
