just wondering if you get a tablet
do you have to pay to hook it up to your wi-fi
or pay a mouthy service if you are just going to us it as gps only?
Lance - let us know when you get that set-up. I'd like to see it. We're still using a Garmin handheld on a dashmount - but the screen is far to dim during the day.
My tablet with Locus Pro is tied to my cell phone account. It uses my data plan on the account. So yes, it is tied to it. But with the Locus Pro program, it works great
The problem I have had is that I go places where there is no cell phone service .
I use Backcountry Navigator on a 7" Google Nexus 7 Android Tablet & Use BobT's Maps for Hatfield McCoy/ Wv Trails
Just got 8" Droid Tab
Going to install backcountry in it and try it out at the Volcano
These things are cheap nowa days and thats good since I am a cheap-bastard
found out no need to pay and get cell coverage for the gps to work
just connect it to your wi-fi and load the stuff you want and you are good to go
