I've heard a lot about this place from friends, but I've never been there, this definitely sounds like a good ride destination, there's also a way to get up to the mountains, I will try and map it out, there's some really good jeep trails up there.

Lucerne Valley (only town designation for Johnson Valley) to Pioneertown by road is 49.2 miles. Don't know whether trails will be longer or shorter.Quote:

Can't find Barnes Rd or Boone Rd on Mapquest. Rider Planet says "Johnson Valley" is north of Lucerne Valley. I'm just glad that we are going to Quartzsite first, so I can follow someone to this stop!!
Boone road is off Hwy 247, it's a little East of Blesserman mine Rd, I never been on Boone Rd before, it's on Google maps.Quote:

You guys will love Pioneertown. Lots of old Western's were filmed there. I actually grew up 10 miles from there in Yucca Valley. My wife and I got married at Pappy and Harriets in 2004. They used to do a live gunfight show on Saturdays on Main Street. From Pioneertown you can go up burns canyon all the way to Big Bear up in the snow. I used to do that on my motorcycle as a teenager.Quote:
