When my wife I and our two boys go riding we usually go for 3 days . We leave camp around 9 or 10 AM and don't usually get back till dark thirty. We always eat good at the camp but as for lunch on the trail its usually just a sandwich, which gets old after several days! Going back to camp for lunch is not possible a lot of the time. Just wondering what everyone else does out on the trail?

Beer only. It's easy to prepare and easy to keep at the right temperature. Not a lot of mess, or clean up... simply crack and consume. It's about as easy and tasty as it gets.

I seen someone had a metal box clamped on the exhaust to warn food up or cook. I guess it's a snowmobile thing. I thought that was a good idea. My parents use to put carrots, potatoes, ground beef and butter and seasoning in tin foil wrapped up. They would cook them at the camp fire. I thought that box would be perfect for that.

If trails dont swing by camp for easy access, i sometimes just bring plenty of water and just some snackable food. Grab a munch here and there at stops. I find beef jerky, small candies, gum and spicy chex mix to be best for travel period (in the truck/car too). I have also done some fruit before. A banana. orange, or apple are my favs.
