Camanche, which is a half mile from me is down to 19%. It's at 171'. When it gets down to 160' north shore low water ramp will be out of water. South shores extra low water ramp will be the only access to the lake. I'm pulling my boat off the water after Labor Day.

That's not bad at all considering how dry it's been, I would start watering the yard, but the water police are still out giving tickets [emoji16]

I was at the lake this weekend and the south shore ramp is now closed. It's out of water. This was supposed to be the last ramp open. I guess they were wrong. I'll definitely be pulling my boat out after Labor Day weekend.

Went to Topaz Lake Lodge for lunch last week and drove down to the beach to take Charlie-boy for a sniff, a squirt and a squat. Water level up considerably.

http://tahoetopia.com/webcam/topaz-lake-webcam

Bridgeport reservoir was down to a level I had never seen around a month ago. Its currently at 6K acre feet and can hold 43K acre feet, so its still pretty low.

Just heard on the news that water allocation for farmers is projected to be 100% in Northern California, and 5% in SoCal.

Lake Oroville is over 100 feet higher than it ever got last year! And Folsom Lake is about 20 feet higher than it ever got last year. With some snow pack still in the mountains, maybe we will still be able to go boating in July and August this year!

Camanche is projected to be 85% of normal this year. North Shore main ramp is now being used. South Shore main ramp by June supposedly.

I know its the feds rules , but them letting so much water out of the lake is beyond idiotic to say the least and keep this post PC !!!
So now that el nino is pretty much over.. The snow pack will only last so long to help with Folsom lake ...

Last year,,, first it was we need to conserve water only watering certain days then only one day a week, then they added a drought surcharge to our bill. Now since we conserved so much on water use they the utilities DIDN'T make their profit margin so now they want to raise our rates... Typical gov idiotic bureaucracy !

The conspiracy theorists believe some lakes are intentionally mismanaged to garner public support for more water projects.

They are keeping most lakes from filling up for "Our Own Safety"

Is what I heard

If the lake is full and the Dam Breaks open it will flood a-lot of folks otta house and home

Plus keeping the lakes from filling up Keeps the Rates Way-High

Them Frogs down-stream Love all that water keeps-em cool

There is Way-to many reasons to list to keep our lakes from filling

But You have to remember they do it for "Our Own Safety"

I don't think they are worried about the dams breaking, but springtime rains have, in the past, caused inflows that required a lot of space in the lakes to avoid uncontrolled releases. That's why DWR mandates a max level until April 1. All that being said, it's hard to complain this year: Shasta is only 14 feet down from full pool, Oroville is just over 20 feet from full pool, and Folsom is just under 20 feet from full pool. In a perfectly managed (and forecasted) year, the lakes should hit max about Memorial Day.

How's all the lake levels in your area?
. We are about to get a warming trend in Oregon next week.. I got a hydrologic warning on my phone about flooding.. 2-4" rain coast, 3-5" rain coast range, foothills of the Cascades 3-6" rain with the snow level rising to 8000' so with leave rains and melting snow could be very interesting
