We were recently on a Utah and Idaho sxs trip and a buddy blew a belt on his XP 900 unfortunately taking out the oil seal. As some of you know the oil seal is installed from the inside requiring you to split the cases. Really stupid design. We got a couple quotes that were close to three grand to fix so we decided to tackle it ourselves. After searching Google we found where a couple guy's were able to dig at the seal enough to actually collapse it and be able to pull it out from that outside. Three hours and a whole lot of beer later we got it out. We had the seal size but struck out at every auto parts store but that's when we lucked out and met the owner of Red Rock Racing in Richfield Utah. After drooling over all his BITD X3's we told him our predicament and he informed us that the 2019 Turbo S oil seal is installed from the outside and it also fits both 900 and 1000. The local dealer had one and a hour later we had his 900 up and running. Put 600 miles on it between the Paiute Trail and Saint Anthony Dunes with zero issues.
