Nate passed away last Thursday night, dew to a number of things, This is awareness to all the the newcomers into the sport realize just how dangerous this hobby is.
Now this is just my opinion others may have a different opinion on it but if you've never owned a side-by-side before you have no business owning a Turbo car for your first one.

First You should immediately get rid of the stock cage and put a good reputable cage on your car, 5 point seatbelt harness forget about the junk that comes with the factory cars, helmet helmet helmet, There are other types of wrist restraints and neck restraints available as well, I know a lot of people have mixed feelings about this subject but for me my life is worth more than just a cool breeze hitting my face and looking cool with sunglasses and a hat on backwards .

I just rode with this guy a few weeks ago and we all had a blast but if you notice in the picture no helmet, The pictures that follow I edit it due to the graphic nature.

So sorry for Nate's Family.

I agree so many people shouldn't have a SXS let alone a Turbo car..

I see a lack of knowledge on how to drive..

I used to race motorcycles (I was terrible!!) and the guys who won were always the guys that were riding way beyond their capabilities. If they got lucky they won, but more often they crashed. Lots of SXS drivers still do the same thing, even when riding just for "fun". Knowledge is one thing; skill or ability is another.

Just wondering what type of accident this was ? Was it a roll over or off the top of the dunes etc ?

My husband and I both have been riding side x sides for over 10 years. My first one was a little RZR 800 trail and I loved that thing, even after dumping it. The point being, regardless how long you have been riding and how much experience you may have, one NEVER stops learning. If you do, you are setting yourself up for trouble.

I totally agree with the former comments: helmets helmets helmets. I will be the first to admit, sometimes I get a little lax. This is another wake up call for me.

RIP Nate. Ride free now. Our sincere condolences to your family and friends.
