My wife and I have been looking into Rooms at different casino’s and there are no rooms available for 11-13 .Gsr Atlantis peppermill etc so we’re trying to figure out where to stay if anyone has any ideas post them.

Wow must be having a convention, did you look into the Hotel in VC? Other than that I guess it would have to be Carson City.

We are taking our motor home and camping with another couple. Probably camp @ Johnson Lane or Washoe Lake, unless Jeff has a better suggestion. We did the Hotel thing last year but decided to camp this time, af anyone else wants to join.

I'd much rather camp, but have no way to get my General from camp to VC. I don't think I want to try to get my toy hauler up into VC.
We are staying at the RV park in VC, on "F Street". Just one or two blocks, in the RZR, to the staging area. $39/night full hookups.

I've only been to VC once, but I seem to recall thinking I probably would have a tough time getting my 42 foot 5th wheel into town. Anyone have an opinion?

I’ve stayed at the RV park in VC many times with my TH. Super nice people just recently bought it and are fixing it up, I would stay there anytime.....except for January ⛄️❄️. They do have some pull thru’s for larger units. You might call them and check, Barry. Ed is right about going up the truck route on the south side. Another thing that I should mention is that the RV park also has cabins that they rent where you can ride your sxs from to the ride and back but I don’t know their availability this time of year.

I remember people talking about ice, the year before, making it tricky to navigate the right turn at the bottom, near the inn where we staged. What do you think, Jeff?

Things are looking up, weather-wise. A couple of days ago, weather.com was predicting rain/snow Tuesday through Saturday Jan 12th, but today, they have revised to rain/snow Sunday, Monday and Tuesday (morning) and then no precipitation the rest of the week and weekend leading up to the ride. Right now, they say it is 24 degrees and cloudy (feels like 10 degrees) but cooling to 7 degrees tonight. Might get to use my heated seats on this ride!!

VC weather (according to weather.com) should be perfect. But the local channels here say rain showers in the valley and snow showers over the summit on Friday. As long as we can get there, should be good.
