We will be at Walker River this Halloween, trying to figure out if making a ride from the resort to Bodie ghost town is doable. Any and all advise, comments, and maps are welcome!

We tried to make it to Bodie last weekend, but turned around 1/2 down Bodie Rd, because the road had been washed out, and the trail was more like a rock crawling trail now. I guess there was a mud slide in that area about a month ago or so.

This is where we turned around. Too slow for us. The 12 mile stretch was taking forever.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181008/2163c852cfb64ed008dd03334d12b47b.jpg

Wow how far into the canyon is this? I think when we went though there there was one part with a pretty good rut , definitely worse now. Hopefully they fix it up some.

It was about 1/2 way thru, I walked up the road a bit to see if it got better, but after each turn more big rocks.
