I have started this poll to get an idea of where most of the people here on the forum would like to go for our 2019 Cinco de Mayo ride if we are not able to get into Chappie because of the fire !!

I’ve heard talk about Sand Mountain that would work for me, lots to see out there. Kind of neutral for Bay Area riders.

Cold Springs Station could be a possibility if people want full hookups..
We don't care one way or the other.
This way we could explore more of the sites towards Austin..
And still go to Sand Mountain, Middlegate, Gabbs, Poinsettia Mine, etc.

Colds Springs would be fine with me as long as we can some how get a real confirmation that we have spots , not replay of last time !!

From what i have seen Winnemucca is suppose to be fun but is the trails or just dunes ??

I have never been just see a lot of videos of people trail riding and playing in the sand. Any where in the desert will be fun.

My wound doctor gave me a 30 day pass Cyndis aunt and uncle are not doing well so we back so she could help. I got 1 day at Little Sahara in Oklahoma but it was so hot and muggy and a storm about pushed the trailer over so we headed for home.

The original owner did tell me that him and his brother had a couple of restaurants in Costa Rica maybe he decided to just go stay there !!

When Patricia and I first talked to him he said when it burned down he was gone but got pushed into rebuilding !!

I went to Frog Pond with Jim Chapman and orangecrush we had a good time, the Lava Beds are very close and a must see with Elephant Rock, and we went to Tunnel Camp it's a good ride in the RZR's fast pace road prolly 50 mile's each way to see a Ghost Mining Town, also went to Black Rock Point across the Playa for some some great views of the Desert

I would say it's probably going to be the first weekend of May but that is still open !! When your here we will go for a ride someplace for sure !!

Probably still to much snow that time of year !!
I was told by someone today that they are going to try and get Chappie open by the end of the year so we may not need a different place to go !!

We just need to put some more ride together . Fast Phil has been a lot of rides up the the La Pine OR that look like they would be fun to do . Maybe we can put a ride together up there next summer !!

It's still a long way away , I think we'll see what the new year brings and go from there !! From what I have been told Black Rock isn't an option at that time of year due to possible snow and closures !!
