View Full Version : Quick release steering wheel?

I'm 6'4" and would prefer to have the steering wheel stay in the stock location with the quick release option. I've always liked dragon fire parts but from what I've read their setup puts the steering wheel closer to you (old threads maybe this has changed). Which brands offer the quick release but keep the wheel in the stock location?
Also, any recommendations on a good wheel in the $100 - $150 range? What material do you recommend for the steering wheel?

Dragon Fire has several different styles/models of steering wheels...some don't have as much 'dish' as others, and wouldn't put it as close to you.
I'm 6'2 and have a DF low-dish steering wheel w/ quick connect, and I really like it.

I'm 6'1 and I rock the DF quick release also. Happy with my choice

I have a question . What is the reason behind installing a removable steering wheel ??

I don't see having a quick release and the wheel staying in the stock position. I have been wrong before but that extra room of the quick release would need to be accounted for.

The D shaped is awesome because I don't have to tilt the wheel to get in and out. Love mine!
