What are the trails like up that way ?
Say good weather and no snow/rain ? (I know cold no matter what)

Is there any rock crawling , rocky terrain ?
Not trying sound wimpy, just being fused from L3 down , those days are over for me. Would like to go on one of these rides sometime.
Showed up at SM and got to meet a few this past Halloween, would like to meet even more !

But if there is technical terrain to have to go through , we'd be a no show...

The first year, there was only 1 flat out of 28 cars and last year, there were two flats out of 6 or 7 cars. You never know, just watch your sidewalls. I just hope the weather cooperates.

You shouldn't need any extra fuel, no car house stops but maybe a Starbucks stop and maybe a beer at the Red Dog afterwards.

Good question, I think we're riding to Dayton for lunch, but I don't know for sure, I usually will take some stuff even if we go somewhere for lunch, just in case something changes out on the trail.

Anyone looking for genuine Virginia City topsoil (might even have a little silver in it...), I plenty on my driveway after washing my RZR... LOL. Tried $6 @ the carwash in Carson City and got about 25% of it off before giving up and heading home. Had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed the ride, company, and the country side. Thanks to those who stayed with me while I installed 4 plugs my BigHorn 2.0 tires throughout the day... I will have more appropriate tires next time!! I would like to make one suggestion, however: Rate the severity of the ride as the only trouble, I noticed, seemed to be that there were people who may have not been prepared for a ride of this nature, that might have been more comfortable on a more mild ride and so they turned back and loaded up early. My idea of a "normal" ride is the Rubicon Trail, as well as other "severe" runs, while others may classify a smooth dirt road as "normal"; different strokes for different folks.

I would like to make one suggestion, however: Rate the severity of the ride as the only trouble, I noticed, seemed to be that there were people who may have not been prepared for a ride of this nature, that might have been more comfortable on a more mild ride and so they turned back and loaded up early. My idea of a "normal" ride is the Rubicon Trail, as well as other "severe" runs, while others may classify a smooth dirt road as "normal"; different strokes for different folks.

True there were a wide variety of experience and perhaps expectations on this ride a subject that has been talked about on this forum in the past. I have found the majority of the utv crazy members to be extremely tolerant and patient with the different experience levels of the attendees of there group rides...even the "newbie" as we all were at one time. However there is only so much the group leader can control. If someone is nice enough to share there ride area with the group it doesn't necessarily mean they are a guide service. They simply do their best... A certain amount of responsibilities are that of the individual to know the unspoken OHV trail Etiquette. Like keeping sight of the person in front and behind you, Leave no man behind and so on.. I may have rated this ride a easy to intermediate under most conditions, but through rain or snow on the trail and things quickly change.
Hopefully some that attended will not get too discouraged as we all have been there... Thats riding man sometimes ya never know what your gonna get!

VC was our first ride with all the Crazies, we had a blast! We met some good people, and are ready to get out and go again. After 2 days of cleaning, she's almost back to new! I've read through mot of the comments, and as our first ride I was not discouraged in the least. A few things that we will make sure that we have for the next ride is at lest 2 walkie talkies and towels! I really think that we should all be on the same page with no man (or woman) left behind. That might just be the new guy in me coming out as this might me common knowledge amongst seasoned group riders. I have a ton of pictures that I will post later tonight.

Were good! I hope that the peeps that needed to see the response did... we simply cant have 20+ riders held hostage because someone is to afraid to clean his windshield to see where he is going.
