Interesting that the off-road recreation is responsible for the airborne particles the residents are suffering from... for those of you that have been to Pismo, you know that EVERY DAY the wind blows terribly in the afternoon and causes a dust storm for several hours requiring everyone to wear goggle just to stand around in camp. The wind is so aggressive that it blows the sand out from under your vehicle's tires causing motor homes and toyhaulers to slowly sink down. Eliminate ALL recreational use and the airborne particles causing the local respiratory problems will remain. It is amazing that courts can be swayed by weak arguments such as this!!

We care about this issue deeply. As many of you may know, we are located just miles from the Oceano Dunes SVRA.

The Friends of Oceano Dunes (https://www.oceanodunes.org/) volunteer organization is hosting a raffle fundraiser event on Friday November 24th, 2017 to try and help keep the dunes open. We've donated $2,350 worth of products (handheld radios, mobile radio kits, intercom kits, and apparel).

"We" (OHV riders in general) did it to ourselves. I went to Pismo quite a lot when my son was going to school at Cal Poly. Great fun!!! But the last time we went was when he graduated; we had idiots riding unmuffled 2 strokes going right through our campsite at 3:30 in the morning! My point is that in most groups there are always a few narcissists who don't even consider anyone but themselves. We owe it to ourselves to crucify these few idiots who will ultimately ruin everything for the rest of us.

This is such a true statement , I think about 75% of the problem is the people acting stupid on the dunes and 25% the people that moved next the dunes and now complaining .
