To get the March Madness 2018 ride started our first stop is going to be Quartzite AZ !!

Don't remember seeing any in Quartzsite, but the there are 2 or 3 in Parker which is 30 miles north

From what I can see doing a search there is a couple but don't remember ever seeing them , but then again I wasn't looking for one !!

The plan is to go to Quartzite Feb 22nd - March 1st . Next is Parker from March 1st - March 5th or 6th . The rest is still up in the air !! As of this posting we are waiting to see if we can get in the Senic Road RV park , they are suppose to let me know on Tuesday !!
If there is any places anyone might like to go to let us know as we are still in the planning stage . Some of us have ideas of where we would like to go but would like to hear from others !!

Its not that for from North to South !! The best thing to do is call them and see exactly where we are and see what they have close !!
That's exactly what I did (some time ago) and they were very helpful. I actually didn't do a peninsula, as they set me up really close to Ed's peninsula.

Both have their strong points. Dumont has dunes, Boy, does it have dunes! Maybe 4-5 times as much sand, both in size and an height of dunes, as sand mountain. Also has a fun ride out to the Date Farm, and 3 or 4 cool old cabins (not 2, Ed!) to explore. Dove Springs does not have any sand, but has a bigger variety of rides and destinations. Burro Schmidt tunnel, Bickel mining camp, Mac Gyvers cabin, and the petroglyphs. Just my opinion.
At any rate Terry, I sure hope we are still there whenever you join us!!!

Not sure how many days you are coming down for but you may be able to come to both places !! We are only staying at Dumont then we are going to Dove Springs . Dumont is further from home and Dove springs is closer to home. We kind of drive by Dove Springs on the way home from Dumont !!

We plan on arriving at Dumont on the 8th around noon or so and then travel to dove springs on the 12th as there's going to be a lot of traffic on the I15 on Sunday after the Mint 400, we've never been to dove springs so this will be a new adventure for us

looks like good times... thanks for sharing. I have to drop out of Pirates cove but still plan to roll down to dove springs... I have some unexpected repairs to maverick after last ride with Pipelayer..

If memory serves, that's where Dead Cow Canyon is (or Skull Canyon, not sure about the name!). Cool place. I think the Indian reservation and the river are also in that quadrant. Good times!

I think that is out there but we didn't do that trail we went in the canyon more to the south .

Just letting everyone know my wife and I are not going to make the Dove springs trip.we have been working on the house and got a good deal on granite countertops for our kitchen. So we decided not to make the trip this year we will see everyone at Cinco DiMaio have fun had be safe watch out for those Rams Ed[emoji23]

I’m going to fill up at home, went low on water once, though I could get water at Jawbone Station, but they had everything shut off, then it was a pain to find water, finally got to fill up in Ridgecrest. So from then on I just fill up at home.
I think you can get water at the Love's in Tehachapi !!

Just talked with Love's in Tehachapi they do not have fresh water. Just water to flush holding tanks.
