It's Really easy to find Ben, it's about 4 or 5 miles south of hwy 50 on 395. Turn left at Johnson Lane and follow that to the end of the pavement. That's where we stage.

I wanted to but it's washed out pretty bad. It would be tough with a big group, but I would go down it. I have a different route picked out that I think nobody will have trouble with.

Large groups often have problems staying together. I always worry a little riding in a large group of folks that may or may not understand large group riding responsibilities. Can I stay up front with you and Russell?

We try to , radios help a lot, most of us have a Rugged Radio set up.
It harder with big groups especially when it's dusty, if everyone stops at turns and waits for the rider behind them the chain will work, but with big groups the chain gets weak at times lol, sounds like this is going to be a big group. [emoji1417]

We'll have a Riders meeting before the ride and go over all of those points before we leave. As long as you make sure that the guy behind you knows when you turn onto another road, we will be ok. Many of the people that I've seen sign up have radios and that will help but it's not fool proof. Nobody will be left behind.

If anyone does need a radio we have 3 of the blue hand held rugged radios that people can use as well. And I'm sure my parents will want to run in the back so they would be able to make sure no one is left behead if they are last.

A solution we found was the name the person behind you.
Like Barry left turn, that way it is directed at the person right behind you.. just a suggestion

Have a safe ride, Jeff. Snow over the summit is supposed to stop some time this evening, but then will get cold. I don't want to have to chance snow or ice, so I probably won't leave here until at least 10:00. I'll likely be setting up camp at the staging area mid afternoon if anyone wants to stop in!
