every other time i ride just depends how many miles we ride.1700 miles and dont use any oil yet.

I never use to check mine just change it every 1,000 miles . Then one time I was out riding and when I stated my XP900 the cam chain made noise and it was 2qts low so now I try to check every other ride. Probably everyone should probably check there oil a least after every 200 miles.

I am terrible at things like that. I do take it in for service but never check anything in between services .

I check oil level AS WELL AS AIR FILTER after every ride. This way I have time to correct an issue if needed long before the next is even planned.

Depends on how many miles, if In sand we normally only put on 50 miles on a day, however in the desert twice that a day.so I would say maybe every 200 miles or so..

I am so bad about checking the oil, its kind of hard to get to on the xp900, have to take out the seats,("boo hoo" lol) I think they make a dip stick that you can access from the side, will have to look into one.

Its definately worth every second to check it....when you start hearing a funny rattle, it may be too late like what happened to me. Uggg
