Saw on Facebook Polaris announced Stop Ride and Sell Order for the XPT due to fires.
Kind of takes the wind out of the sails for the big 2017 reveal.
Yeah, seen that the CEO put a stop-sell order out.

I though they already had the recall? I would drive it anyway.
Can-Am XDS 1000 Turbo.

Took my car to Ben for proactive replacement of trans bearings and noted the beginning of a leaking fuel rail. Whether turbo or not, it might be advisable to keep an eye on your fuel rail.
RPM has an XP 900 billet fuel rail that can be adapted, so I'm probably going to pursue that option. Essentially, the same price as the Polaris crummy fuel rail.

At least with the RZR you can see the affected area without removing bodywork.
I'm driving mine this weekend. !!
I'm at Polaris and the recall is for the ECM, there has been some that didn't kill the motor if it overheated

Oh, so they want us to park them and forego a 1/2 a season of trips? I don't plan on it. Just be smart and ride them folks.
The problem with the XPT is that the overheat and the ECM doesn't shut down the motor. The main thing is to not let them overheat.

Exactly.
FYI, mine has 40 hrs on it and has never gone over 214 degrees.
So then from what I understand you should be fine.

Our local dealer Ride Now is calling up all Turbo owners and informing them of the stop Ride order. And I know they record all calls. So once they get that handled the ball is in your court. So if it burns up its on you. Your insurance company is also off the hook. And I would be willing to bet if a customer has been notified and he still says screw it I'm using it and it catches fire and injures or kills someone they can be held on negligent Homicide or what ever you want to add on to it. Burn the forest down and cause loss of property or life and your done. You better have a bad Ass Lawyer on retainer cause your gonna need it.
