How much longer you think it is going to take ?
The bed has to come off which means unbolting the cage and lifting It off.
Then the air to water intake plenum has to be unbolted from the engine and moved aside.
The aluminum backing cover for the clutches comes off and on this model it actually lines up the engine and transmission.
So the whole job is a pain in the ass LOLhttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160329/6ea4466a1505d6bae3e5a8de84f411b1.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160329/f1538b1f5e6a5fbf230789f246f9b036.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160329/40aca077875f28049e09c83a3805bfc6.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160329/06100accfaf83fa1ad854bc530a18330.jpg

Here's something I found that I particularly don't like I'm going to have to talk with Mike about this and see what he wants to do.
The Evolution Powersports charge tube that he installed is leaking boost along with oil that's getting blown through the turbo from the vent hose off the engine..
And is rubbing up against the valve cover.
In my opinion it's a bad design.
If I designed it it would have had a silicone hose along with a aluminum charge tube in the center with another silicone hose and clamps on the other end with a fitting welded on to the charge to for the map sensor
But that's just me...http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160329/3a6ac94a34e1c5c3635c3884d035a574.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160329/288a5c00b1b11ca0ff60a1af151593ed.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160329/3e89503b571c2ab1a1a5c0200a2ef076.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160329/923e3324dc026b070f0bb4d1e93b8048.jpg

The bearing mods, that the 1ks and 900 XPs have thoes cheap Chinese bearings that explode out the side of the case..
The turbo cars are no different they still use those cheap bearings in the transmissions and there's already been multiple reports of factory Turbo transmission failure.
Transmissions in the factory turbo cars are $2,800, that's why Mike is taking the necessary precautions to avoid that bill, I will post pics in the next day or so regarding the transmission

Any-way with a new machine its amazing how fast the Tranny seals go belly-up
Is that caused from bad bearing, like to much play in-em or what?
Over the years one may think that the quality of polaris would be a-lot better
How-ever one would also think that it was impossible for the quality to get worst over the years
But that is what we are seeing
Well the quality goes down and the price goes way-up

I don't know of anyone making the tube yet for it other than evolution, after speaking with Mike this morning they gave him the same old song and dance he had one of the first ones that went out and they said basically they had a bad design and they have it fixed now...
As for your new turbo car congratulations on the purchase.
Expected to have issues with the primary clutch I've ended up switching to STM clutches,
Look at having the trans mod done in the future like I'm doing on Mikes car.
And just stay up on the maintenance keep the oil changed regularly, let the car come up to pretty much operating temperature before going out and mashing on it and just use overall common sense they can only take so much abuse

Good point Leo, but the early 800 models were probably ok cause the HP wasn't so high as all the new machines , I can't believe they still use the same cheap bearing in the new machines , for what we pay for them seems to be an easy fix at the factory, unless Polaris owns this Chinese bearing factory.

I have a 800s stretched 10 inches in the rear with a Yamaha Apex turbo 4-cylinder engine pushing stupid horsepower through the stock transmission.
It's been running strong for the last three years with no issues, those Transmissions were built by Spicer,IMO Much Better Built than what team Industries built for the 900 and the 1000 cars..

RSR PerformanceThey totally Screwed Up
Should have been a perfect>>> 4 outa 4
Need to report this to Polaris
So they can make effective changes immediately
No Chain in Tranny what a great change, back to the old with No Tranny Chain

I was draining the oil out of the front diff into a bucket and holding it in a position as if it were mounted in the car,,
Once the oil stopped coming out of the drain plug I decided to roll it back and forth and side to side and cannot believe how much more dirty oil was coming out,
Unfortunately we don't have that option while draining the oil with the diff mounted in the car..
Another bad design by Polaris in my opinion

Here's another maintenance tip..
This applies to ALL sxs makes and models, not just Polaris.
Take your secondary clutch off and with a Scotch-Brite pad and you'll see areas on the shaft that are rusted clean that off and apply a thin coat of anti seize.
Make sure you also clean the inside of the secondary clutch as wellhttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160406/7f1ce04effc8869319980130963f28df.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160406/3b437c4daa03cb7916809152e1ea2d3a.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160406/f3fbfc5f4f4c53890e1601adac3bd414.jpg

All the more reason to adopt shorter drain intervals, eh?

A lot of bit of nastiness on that drain plug for a car that doesn't have that many miles on ithttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160406/448fa8f7b2f75a302d30a15dfe1f4134.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160406/5333a7a11176c050a28980eda5016815.jpg

Getting Motos car back together,, I'll have to say Polaris went and F*#K this design up really bad...
It's nothing like before as far as pulling the transmission out and putting it back in😠http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160413/bf02cc0bd9ef2c37f92f8e66d1cba2a0.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160413/69a7766c03c9275e0a9ece1ca7c22cf2.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160413/3a5fb5314d9a4d075ba39e3d0443730d.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160413/bff7aa6698edd4c4a6dfb47a04617b52.jpg
