Found some great trails in the west Vegas area, but left the RSR at homehttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160208/d02c82cc86ae21ddd9132989af2a1fb4.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160208/089f4ca5efa31d551a149ba3674595e6.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160208/44e986a5504233a1594865bb70436ae8.jpg
It took about 2hrs to drive in the Jeep, what it would have taken 20 to 30 minutes in the RSR. I google earthed, what we weren't able to cover, and there is hundreds of miles of trails and roads. Great riding this time of year, nice and cool and a little snow up in the higher country.

I do the same thing, take my Jeep out and explore some possible Rzr trails/runs.

There are so many great areas to ride in NV.

There would be so much more in Nevada if it wasn't for Harry Reid.. :(

Great places to ride in that state. A lot of them have a cool story that you can look up.

Let's see...no state income tax, lower license registration fees, no Barbara Boxer, no Jerry Brown, cheaper gas and diesel, less traffic, Dingy Harry is almost gone, easy concealed carry permit, no smog checks in my county, no 10 day wait to buy a firearm. 👍🏻 Should I continue?

KA escapee since 1992. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

You had me about half way through. I have to wait until I retire. I pay 750.00 a year to register my truck alone, and now they're going to charge me for the right to drive. I'm done.

When we bought my wife's preowned Volvo XC70 the license in KA was $495. In NV it was $175. Come to NV and join the Washoe Jeep Club. You'll fit right in.

We stay at the RV park at the south end of "town". With 500 miles of trails available to mines, ghost towns and wild burro areas, there lots or riding to do. Chuck at the RV park allows a campfire, too. Riding to breakfast or lunch at the place on Hwy 95 isn't an issue. Used to be called the Desert Lobster, but now I think it's Captain Jim's...a building/boat combination. You might have seen it.

Sorry for misunderstanding. I was born there and it took me decades to finally make the move out of that fascist place.

A Kalifornia fact: The quarterback of the losing Super Bowl team gets $50,000 from the NFL. Due to his income and how the Franchise Tax Board bases their income tax on percentage of income, Cam Newton has to pay the state $101,000 (on $50K income). I don't care who you are or how much money you make, if I were the NFL I would boycott KA for future Super Bowls.

The money people don't realize they pay to live in that state and the loss of freedoms they experience isn't worth the weather or scenery.

I know where you're talking about. We'll have to make the trip sometime. Sounds like fun.

I've been through Mina but didn't stop and ride, I'd like to make a trip back over there and ride. Tonopah and Gold Point are also on my list to revisit. We did stop in Hawthorn and go riding

X2, that sounds like a lot of fun. Washrepair, Russell, has made that Hawthorne ride before, and from his discription, it sounds like a great ride.

We stayed at whiskey flats rv park in Hawthorne and road right out of the park up to Bodie, we only made it to Aurora, there was too much snow to go all the way but it was still a fun ride

About 2 years ago it was in March. The weather was good on the Nevada side but you have to go over a high pass to get to Bodie and the snow was too deep

You can ride out of the park on a pipeline road up to lucky boy pass and from there you can ride for miles
