I'm looking at getting one for mine. I stay pretty warm with vortex riding gear but Rhonda tends to not want to go when it's really cold.

I don't think that one will work in a XP1000 , looks like it for the 800 and 900 .

The picture in the one you posted looks like it goes under the dash and there is no room for it in the XP1000 !! there is one I have seen that goes under the dash !!

No need in a CanAm with doors! Did get the wife and dog a 12v electric blanket though.

Sometimes I look at those cab enclosures and think that would be nice in the rain and snow......

Yeah I think so to, but I wondered if it would get a lot of fumes in the cab from the engine and exhaust. Would like to get rear window.

That won't work on the 1000 , the dash on the 1000 has the compartment etc under the dash . There is one that fits up under the dash behind the speedometer .

This is the link to the one they claim fits the XP1000 and 900S but it still shows the old style dash in the video ? I'm going to do some more research today .

I've had great luck with my summit Mojave heater but for the most part we just use the heated seats.

That's what I have too, windshield and the plastic rear window. Then dress warm. My wife has a 12v heated vest and battery powered electric gloves and we stay pretty warm.

That seems like a good solution to me for the wife. I'm always dressed warm because every now and then, we stop and get out and stretch and need to be dressed for that.

You can save some serious enough money buying the Summit one if you want to do a little extra work.

I tried stealing the pics from another sight but it doesn't work. The mounted it in between the bottom of the dash ad cup holders. The made a simple bracket and used a ball valve to adjust the heat.

I saw those pictures also , but those pictures are not of a XP 1000 . They are from a XP 900 , different dash . I have seen where thy are putting them up under the dash , but from what i have seen it's more work then it's worth . i have warm cloths for the few times we ride in that cold of weather !!
